We are Dr. Esra and Bryan, a wife and husband team based in London, UK.

Our Bristle and Brush paints are high quality, artist grade watercolours made in small batches in our studio in Greenwich from the pan to the paints inside it!

The paints are released in limited quantities every month. The tradition of paint-making is very rich across history and this process allows us to make highly pigmented, opaque watercolours from natural materials. We use the same recipe that has been used since the 11th century.

The aim of these paints is to give you the best possible paints with minimal additives. In fact, the paints only include pigments, binder, wetting agent and preservatives. Most of the paints are vegan and all of them are placed into eco friendly, plastic free metal pans.

Most of our pigments are natural and genuine from minerals, earth and organic materials. Our priority is to provide high quality natural pigments to celebrate the beautiful natural wonders of our planet.

Earth Pigments from Italian and French soil:

Venetian red, burnt sienna, beige earth, green earth, orange Havana and yellow ocher.

Mineral Pigments from genuine semi precious stones:

Lapis Lazuli (most precious blue stone), azurite, malachite, green opal, green jasper, jade, red jasper, thulite, chalk, slate grey and hematite.

Organic Pigments from plants and other materials:

Indigo, madder lake and carmine.

Alchemical Pigments from natural materials that was processed chemically:

Smalt, verdigris, gold lustre, silver lustre, lamp black and white titanium.
